Introduction
What is Lumitare?
Lumitare is a powerful programming language with a rich native feature set meant to promote coding practices that lead to maintainable and extensible codebases.
The name, Lumitare, is based on the words "Lumen" (Latin for "light") and "mutare" (Italian for "to change" or "to transform") and is meant to play on several features and ideas behind the language.
- It is meant to shine a light on the different kinds of mutability of state, attention to which gets heavily enforced within the language.
- It will, hopefully, at the very least change and transform the views of various people wanting or having to interact with the language, if not even more.
- It's, again hopefully, illuminating a path forward into a future of maintainable codebases.
